Revenue of Huawei rises to $49.6b in H1

Chinese tech giant Huawei’s revenue reached 320.4 billion yuan ($49.6 billion) in the first half of 2021, with a net profit margin of 9.8 per cent, according to the company’s semiannual report released Friday.

As for the company’s three main businesses, the carrier business revenue reached 136.9 billion yuan, the revenue from enterprise business amounted to 42.9 billion yuan, and consumer business revenue hit 135.7 billion yuan. “We’ve set our strategic goals for the next five years.

Our aim is to survive and to do so sustainably by creating practical value for our customers and partners,” said Eric Xu, Huawei’s rotating chairman.“

Despite a decline in revenue from our consumer business caused by external factors, we are confi-dent that our carrier and enterprise businesses will continue to grow steadily,” Xu added.—Xinhua
