A delegation comprising of representatives of 24 leading Companies from the IT sector visited Stockholm recently. The two day visit was arranged by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy in Stockholm. The delegation included IT companies from various domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, Fintech, Metaverse etc.
Representing Pakistan as a ‘competitive tech destination’, the delegation aimed to showcase the capabilities of the companies, highlighted the country’s IT export potential and explored new horizons for business growth and collaborations.
The delegation visited a number of technology hubs including Epicentre Stockholm, Sweden Science, Incubation Park, Ignite Sweden, Business Sweden, Swedsoft, and Areachica. They also interacted with Swedish as well as Pakistani origin IT professionals based in Sweden.
At each venue the Pakistani companies were given the opportunity to present their respective company profiles, services and solutions.
The Ambassador of Pakistan in Stockholm Dr. Zahoor Ahmad hosted a luncheon at the Embassy for the delegation which was led by PSEB’s Chief Marketing Officer, Amar Makhdoom. On this occasion, Trade and Investment Counsellor Mr. Ghulam Mustafa gave a comprehensive presentation on the ICT sector in Sweden and highlighted the possibilities of collaboration between the two countries.
The visit was aimed at providing an overview of the Swedish tech sector culture and requirements and promoting B2B interaction with a view to enhance Pakistan’s technology exports to Sweden.
