The Convener of All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid rich tributes to a young journalist, Arif Qureshi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Arif Qureshi, Chief Editor of “The Fortress”, passed away of cardiac arrest in Islamabad, yesterday.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement is-sued in Islamabad said, Pakistan and Kashmir lost a sincere, honest and selfless friend, who loved sup-pressed and oppressed humanity, especially in Kashmir and Palestine and would like to sacrifice everything for a bright peace of Kashmir, where slaughterhouses were being built under this or that pretext and great values and principles are trampled with Jack- boots.”

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the de-parted soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Con-ference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League leader, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi and Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Chairman, Gulam Nabi Wasim.—KMS
