A reception was given in honour of Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib, founder of Akhuwat Foundation hosted by the Institute of Policy Studies.

Dr Saqib has been recently honored with the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award for his interest- and collateral-free Islamic microfinance program worth more than Rs155bn so far that has catalyzed more than 4.8mn poor households in Pakistan.

IPS’ Chairman Khalid Rahman, Vice Chairman Ambassador Syed Abrar Hussain, Dr Nazir Ahmed Vaid and Amanullah Khan are present on the stage.
