Senior Vice Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) Javed Jelani, has praised the successful organization of IDEAS Exhibition 2024, calling it a pivotal milestone for Pakistan’s defense, industrial, and technological advancement. He extended his congratulations to Army Chief General Asim Munir and his team for their leadership, which made this major event possible. Jelani emphasized that the exhibition showcased Pakistan’s strong and peaceful global image, highlighting the country’s defense system’s autonomy and capabilities. He stated that it was clear from the event that Pakistan is on par with other nations in terms of modern defense technology and creative prowess. The exhibition also opened new avenues for trade and defense cooperation with the international community.
He noted that delegations from around the world lauded Pakistan’s cutting-edge weapons, technologies, and equipment, all a result of the relentless efforts of Pakistani engineers, scientists, and experts. According to Jelani, such events have a positive impact on the country’s economy and play a key role in boosting local industries. These events increase the confidence of international buyers, encouraging them to participate in other trade and agricultural exhibitions, thus strengthening the connections between Pakistani traders and global buyers—ultimately benefiting the country’s economic growth. Jelani urged the Pakistani government to organize similar exhibitions for rice and other agricultural products to boost the country’s agricultural exports, as Pakistan is a reliable supplier of agricultural commodities worldwide. He further suggested that such events are an excellent means of presenting a positive and prosperous image of Pakistan to the world. He recommended that the government continue organizing these programs on a regular basis to accelerate Pakistan’s defense, economic, and agricultural development, positioning the country as a strong and reliable global partner.
