Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Friday announced the setting up of a new Dental College and a Dental Hospital in Rawalpindi. The academic activities at the Dental College shall start within this year.
In a statement issued here, she said that as per directions from Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, a new dental college and a new dental hospital for Rawalpindi division shall start working very soon.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid said, “The new dental college and dental hospital in Rawalpindi will provide better dental care facilities. Educational activities will started within this year. The dental college in Rawalpindi will also help fill the shortage of dental surgeons. A huge amount of Rs. 323 million is being spent on construction of New Dental College and Dental Hospital in Rawalpindi.”
She said the dental college and hospital shall be affiliated with Rawalpindi Medical University. Under the auspices of the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Rawalpindi Dental College and Dental Hospital will provide better dental care facilities to the people, she added.
The Health Minister said that as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we are striving to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of Punjab.
