Qandhari assumes as president KATI

The executive committee of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has unanimously elected Johar Ali Qandhari as the new president during its executive meeting. Qandhari is set to serve the remaining term of the current officials, succeeding the former president, Faraz-ur-Rehman, who resigned in December 2023.

The decision to appoint Qandhari was made unanimously during a general body meeting convened on January 29, 2024, in response to the call of 14 out of 17 executive committee members. Present at the meeting were prominent figures including KATI’s Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer, Deputy Patron-in-Chief ZubairChhaya, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, and others. Expressing gratitude to the committee members, Johar Ali Qandhari pledged to follow the vision of the late Former Patron-in-Chief SM Munir and adhere to the guidance and traditions set by the Former Presidents of KATI.

He emphasized his commitment to enhancing economic activities and serving the business community, promising to address challenges faced by members.
