Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noorul Haq Qadri on Friday cut a cake weighing 3,000 pounds to celebrate the country’s 73rd Independence Day.
According to the details, the 60 feet long and 15 feet wide cake was cut during a ceremony at Khyber Takia area of Khyber district. Addressing the cake cutting ceremony, Noorul Haq Qadri said that the Muslims of sub-continent had rendered matchless sacrifices to establish an Islamic ideological country in the name of Pakistan, adding that they will spare no sacrifices in the defence of the motherland.
In another ceremony held at Takia area of Khyber where some 720 square feet long independence day cake was presented and was cut by the federal minister Dr.Noorul Haq Qadri.
Talking to the gathering, the federal minister said that Pakistan was the gift of Allah Tallah and we should respect the freedom received after offering a big human loss to free the Muslim of subcontinent.
14th august is the happiest day in the history of Pakistan because our beloved country came into existence on this day. Qadri stated added that those who were against the separate country were wrong and their opinion were baseless about the united Hindustan.
Muslims in India are in minority and Modi government brutalities with the Kashmiri Muslims in occupied Kashmir are the examples why a separate state was required for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He added.
Qadri said that Paksitani nation including Pashtuns,Panjabi, Sindi , Balochi were united under the green flag and Pakistan would be existed until the judgment day.
Earlier , minority MPA Wilson Wazir participated at the independence day walk at Landikotal bazar.
