Assures farmers representatives of early resolution to their problems
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday claimed that the Punjab province has been leading the development journey in the country.
“The PTI government will would leave no stone unturned to serve the masses.” Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was talking to parliamentarians and PTI office-bearers in Muzaffargarh who discussed the district’s problems with the CM.
On the occasion, the CM pointed out that unprecedented development work has been completed in a period of three years. No area would remain deprived of development, he pledged.
The development schemes would be completed at a brisk pace in a transparent manner, he added and maintained that the government has been pursuing a comprehensive plan to provide best healthcare and educational facilities to the people living in various parts of the province.
On the other hand, the opposition lacks concrete agenda for public service while trying to interrupt the development process on every occasion, he maintained.
PDM’s negative politics could not survive in new Pakistan. The people have fully rejected the anti-development mafia and the development process continues to move forward despite the negative politics of the opposition, he maintained.
The government will fulfil its constitutional term as the PDM was engaged in a spate of the public meeting; he said and directed to rehabilitate the recreational park near Chenab River along with improvement in facilities at ladies park in Muzaffargarh city.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited the residence of MPA Makhdoom Raza Hussain Bukhari in Muzaffargarh to condole the death of his father Makhdoom Altaf Hussain Bukhari. He extended sympathies to the bereaved family and offered fateha for the departed soul.
MNA Nasrullah Dareshak, Livestock Minister Sardar Husnain Bahadur Dareshak, MPA Khurram Leghari and others were also present.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Kissan Ittehad led by Khalid Khokhar called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed farmers’ welfare. Adviser Hanif Pitafi, secretaries of agriculture, food, industries, irrigation departments, BoR’s member (colonies), cane commissioner and others were also present.
On the occasion, the CM directed to finalise comprehensive recommendations at the earliest to resolve farmers’ problems and pointed out that the minimum sugarcane price has been fixed at Rs225 per maund as the crushing season has started in Punjab.
The sugarcane farmers will be given a full reward of their hard work as millers have been bound to issue authenticated receipts to sugarcane farmers. The CM said that action will be initiated in case of water theft in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar and other areas while the Punjab government has offered Rs11 billion subsidy on DAP.
He assured to timely arrange fertilisers to the farmers. A policy would be devised and presented before the cabinet about the use of land for fish farming in Muzaffargarh, added Usman Buzdar. Similarly, reservation of the farmers will be duly addressed, he repeated.
Bumper crops have been produced due to farmers’ hard work and the full reward was given to them by the government. The government will continue to protect farmers’ rights and more facilities will be provided to increase crops’ productivity by the farmers, he added.
Khalid Khokhar appreciated the policies adding that investment would lead to a green revolution in Punjab.
