ISLAMABAD – After the Speaker’s letter to the Election Commission regarding the Election Amendment Act, the National Assembly Secretariat on Friday issued a new party position.

In the new party position, PTI has been wiped out from the National Assembly, and all 80 members of PTI have been shown as members of the Sunni Ittehad Council.

Previously, 39 members were declared as part of PTI, while 41 were declared independent.

The revised party position also mentions the seats taken back from PML-N, PPP, and JUI-F. The new party position was issued immediately after the Speaker’s letter to the Election Commission.

According to the new party position, PML-N holds 110 seats, PPP has 69, MQM holds 22, PML-Q has 5, and IPP has 4 members in the National Assembly.

Additionally, PML-Zia, BAP, and the National Party each have one member in the Assembly.

Similarly, the Sunni Ittehad Council now holds 80 seats, and JUI-F has 8 members in the National Assembly, while there are also 8 independent members. PKMAP, BNP-Mengal, and MWM each have one seat in the National Assembly, and one independent member has joined PML-N.

In case of the implementation of the Election Act, 23 reserved seats will be allocated to PML-N, PPP and JUI-F. PML-N is expected to get 15, PPP 5, and JUI-F 3 reserved seats.
