PSHD trains doctors regarding scientific changes in corona diagnosis

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD) and Technical Working Group (TWG) arranged training of doctors in Multan regarding the scientific changes in diagnosis and observation of Covid-19 patients.
In this connection, both secretaries of Healthcare Department contacted the doctors via video link. Detailed conversation has been made regarding modern techniques towards SOPs of diagnosis and taking care of patients.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Muhammad Usman said that SOPs do change after coming modern research for taking care of COVID-19 patients. He further said that PSHD has published three versions of SOPs book. Similar changes are also made in SOPs book according to modern research.
Specialized Healthcare Secretary Nabeel Awan said that the purpose of training was save doctors and paramedical staff from being effected of this coronavirus. He further said that the doctors and paramedics also had been trained about the usage of PPEs and techniques of disposing off. The correct use of PPEs is the only way that can save doctors and paramedics to be infected from this novel coronavirus.
Muhammad Usman added that training of master trainer was arranged in Nishtar Hospital Multan. Master trainers would train doctors and paramedics in their own south districts.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare (PSHD) Secretary Muhammad Usmam has admired the services of coronavirus effected doctors and paramedical staff. He said, “They are superheroes of this nation who are combating against the pandemic around the clock to beat the coronavirus, while risking their own lives.” On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, PSHD has started to send flowers and greetings to frontline affected heroes including doctors and health workers. The purpose of this initiative was acknowledge of their services.
In the next phase, flowers will also be sent to the frontline workers of the police departments and other departments.
He further said that all frontline workers including doctors and paramedical staff are our heroes and the shield of the nation who responds to the voice of the nation without wasting any time.
All possible steps are being taken to protect frontline workers for being in line of fire in fight against novel Coronavirus.
He further said that the Punjab government has already approved additional pay for all frontline workers every month. The government has also approved additional financial assistance package for the families of the martyrs, he added.
Muhammad Usman paid surprise visits to different Basic Healthcare Units (BHUs) to check the arrangements of healthcare facilities for people amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic here on Saturday.
During his visit, he especially checked the sock of the available medicines and reviewed the administrative affairs. Furthermore, he double-checked the records of duty roster of doctors and their presence.
Usman has directed the hospital administration to make sure the timely treatment of any patients suffering from any disease. He said that it’s not easy to provide basic healthcare facilities to public in this crucial time when eveyone is fighting against Covid-19.
