Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK staged a protest outside the Indian consulate in Birmingham against the killing of three innocent Kashmiris by the Indian army in Sopore town of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The protest was led by Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President, Raja Fahim Kayani. The protesters chanted pro-freedom slogans and condemned India’s oppressive tactics against innocent Kashmiris.
Stop the War Coalition delegation led by Stuart Richardson participated in the protest and showed solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris. He urged the international community to put pressure on India to withdraw its troops from IIJOK.
Raja Fahim Kayani said that Sopore killing is an addition to the brutal massacres carried out by India in IIOJK. He pointed out that participation of thousands of people in the funerals of three youth is an illustration that Kashmiris are solidly behind the freedom movement.
Khawajah Muhammad Suleman, founding member of TeK UK, said huge participation in martyrs’ funerals is a symbol of people’s rejection of Indian illegal occupation of their motherland.
