The University of Sindh is fully aware of the need for all-time protection to its female faculty, employees and students against any prospect untoward incident of harassment, as it is forging ahead full-scale with its exemplary march in the realm of academic and research successes. These views were expressed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat in exchange of views with Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Human Rights Veerji Kolhi while the latter called on him in his office on Monday. Dr. Burfat informed the advisor about the special initiatives the varsity had undertaken to ensure fool-proof protection to females studying or working at the campus. “We have not only established a high-powered Anti-Harassment Cell at our administration block but have also officially set-up anti-harassment committees comprising cross-gender faculty at all departments/ institutes; in addition to organizing regular awareness walks.—APP
