Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, declaring national solidarity with the security forces in the fight against terrorism.

Prime Minister Sharif extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the martyrs’ higher ranks, honoring the bravery of the security personnel.

Security forces foil terrorists’ attack on Bannu Cantonment

Earlier in the day, the security forces successfully repelled an attack on Bannu Cantonment by eliminating ten terrorists.

According to the ISPR, the terrorists attempted to breach the cantonment early yesterday morning. Despite a suicide blast that damaged part of the perimeter wall and claimed the lives of eight security personnel, the security forces swiftly engaged the attackers, resulting in the elimination of all ten terrorists.

The ISPR attributed the attack to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, operating from Afghanistan, and reiterated Pakistan’s call to the Interim Afghan Government to prevent cross-border terrorism. The ISPR affirmed Pakistan Armed Forces’ resolve to defend the country against such threats from Afghanistan.
