Leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh, including General Secretary Waqar Mehdi and National Assembly member Colonel Asad Alam Niazi, have pledged to root out terrorism from the country and ensure peace prevails. They offered condolences and prayers for the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali’s family during a meeting held in Karachi. Addressing the media alongside Chairman of Chanesar Town Farhan Ghani, District Central President Mastoor Ahsan, General Secretary Dil Muhammad, and Information Secretary Shahzad Majid, Waqar Mehdi and others expressed their determination to tackle terrorism effectively.
They emphasized the party’s manifesto’s commitment to combating terrorism and assured that necessary actions would be taken. The discussion highlighted the ongoing efforts to repatriate illegal Afghan residents across Pakistan, particularly in Karachi, to address security concerns. Responding to queries, the leaders reiterated the government’s stance on confronting terrorism head-on. Waqar Mehdi referred to recent reports from the Foreign Ministry, indicating the presence of terrorist camps in Afghanistan, suggesting a link to recent incidents in Pakistan.
Additionally, he confirmed the ongoing repatriation of Afghan nationals residing illegally in various parts of Pakistan, including Karachi. Furthermore, Colonel Asad Alam Niazi emphasized the bravery of Pakistani forces in combating terrorist threats, noting that Pakistan’s military has always stood firm against enemy attacks.
He expressed confidence in the Pakistani armed forces’ ability to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and tackle terrorism effectively. In response to a question about Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy, Waqar Mehdi reiterated the PPP’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from its roots.
He praised the sacrifices of individuals like Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali, highlighting their unwavering dedication to protecting the nation. As the nation mourns the loss of its brave soldiers, the PPP leaders affirmed their solidarity with the armed forces and reiterated their determination to uphold peace and security across Pakistan. They vowed to continue their efforts to combat terrorism and ensure a safer future for all citizens.
