Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday declared that the police, CTD, and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) worked round the clock to identify and apprehend the culprits involved in the Johar Town blast.
Talking to the media at CM Office here on Monday, Dr Firdous appreciated the fact that CM Usman Buzdar supervised and monitored the overall progress made by the law enforcement agencies to dig out the facts surrounding the Johar Town blast.
She said the Punjab government provided every possible support to the police to ensure the terrorists did get off scot-free.
The Special Assistant said that an organized strategy was devised by the police to identify the masterminds behind the crime.
Now the Punjab government will ensure that culprits of the Johar Town blast are given exemplary punishment, she said.
Earlier, the SACM, in her message, said that Bilawal Zardari is moving heaven and earth in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) election campaign to deceive the voters but he should remember that PPP will face yet another defeat in the AJK election.
The AJK voters are fed up with corrupt rulers of the past and they know that no progress is made during the tenure of PPP, she said.
Dr Firdous said the AJK voters will go for the PTI to bring change in their area and to ensure a transparent and trustworthy government to deliver to the masses.
The voters have given their verdict in favor of PTI much before the election because the citizens are fully aware of the misdeeds and corruption of PPP and PML-N.
Maryam Safdar and Bilawal Zardari have already faced defeat in GB elections and they will meet the same fate in the AJK election, concluded the SACM.
Meanwhile, Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais has strongly contradicted an impression that some sort of restrictions is imposed for the issuance of funds to bar associations by the Punjab government.
In a statement, the AG Punjab maintained the lawyers have always played an important role in the provision of justice and supremacy of law in society.
Meanwhile, CM Punjab has also appreciated the lawyers’ role in the provision of justice and funds have been issued for the welfare of the legal community without any pressure, interference or stipulation.
He, categorically, termed the allegations of providing funds to lawyers’ associations with some stipulations as concocted, baseless and without evidence.
There is no reason or reality in such claims; it is nothing more than propaganda against an elected government by politically defeated elements, concluded the AG Punjab.
