Posters appeared in different areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, drawing the attention of the world towards gross human rights violations and atrocities perpetrated by the Indian state in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, every year Human Rights Day is celebrated on December 10 all around the world. The United Nations General Assembly had adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on December 10, 1948. The posters were displayed by several Hurriyat groups in Srinagar and other areas on the massive human rights violations by the Indian regime and its forces in the occupied territory.

The posters said people in IIOJK are being deprived of fundamental rights, including the right to self-determination, and drew the attention of the international rights organizations towards the massive human rights abuses by India in IIOJK. The posters also urged the international community to take notice of the Indian state terrorism and atrocities, including attaching properties, lands and houses and terminating Kashmiri employees in IIOJK, and play a role in settling the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions.

On the other hand, the posters have also been circulated on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp. Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Indian BJP regime and its forces are inflicting the worst atrocities on unarmed Kashmiris, including youth, in the occupied territory while the Kashmiri people are determined to continue their struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.—INP
