POs among 57 outlaws nabbed, narcotics, arms & valuables recovered

The Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested 57 outlaws including 12 proclaimed offenders during high vigilance in the city and recovered snatched valuables, hashish, wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed, Islamabad police is maintaining high vigilance in the city. Khanna police arrested five accused Khalid Mehmood, Yar Muhammad, Zeeshan Furakh, Bilal Rehman and Toor Ali and recovered kites, narcotics and stolen valuables from their possession.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested an accused Haider involved in selling kites and also recovered kites from him. Golra police arrested 22 persons involved in betting on dogs fight.
Furthermore, Bhara Kahu and Aabpara police arrested Shehryar, Umer, Haider, Samad and recovered two pistols along with ammunition, 10 wine bottles and 10 liter alcohol from their possession.
Aabpara police team apprehended 13 gamblers red handed who were identified as Ishfaq, Imran, Masih, Boota Masih, Waqar Gulzar, Kashan, Ahktar, Nabeel, Khalil Akhtar, Sohail Shahzad, Sarfraz, Raiz, Hamad and Sohail Masih and recovered cash and gambling tools from their possession.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them.
During special crackdown against absconders, Islamabad police nabbed 12 proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various area of the city.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such crime. He said that performance of police officials would be reviewed on continuous basis and stern action to be initiated against those involved in selling or flying kites and aerial firing.
The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
