Political leaders demand peace in NW

In the tribal district of South Waziristan, the All Political Party held a protest rally in support of the restoration of peace and the ongoing sit-in in North Waziristan Tribal District. The rally passed through Wana Bazar and culminated at Karikot Aman Chowk.

On this occasion, the leaders of all political parties, Imran Mukhalis from PPP, Ayaz Wazir from ANP, Noorzaman Wazir, Taj Wazir, District President of PPP Amanullah, Asadullah from Jamaat-e-Islami, and Mumtaz Akhtar presented demands to the government, and strongly appealed,

That we want peace in the war on terror and grieving tribes of Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas because the maintenance of peace is the responsibility of the government, so the government should take concrete steps to restore peace.

They appealed to accept all the legitimate demands of the three-week long sit-in in North Waziristan and adopt the path of negotiations. The dharna participants demanded the release of imprisoned MNA Ali Wazir and immediate restoration of 3G and 4G net services in Wana district of South Waziristan.

Finally, the leaders of all the political parties said that if the above-mentioned outstanding demands are not resolved by the government, they will decide an immediate action plan for the shatterdown strike.
