In light of the orders of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan and under the command of Regional Police Officer Dera Ismail Khan Nasir Mehmood Sati, the crackdown against the menace of drugs and smuggling is ongoing in Dera region like the entire province.
In order to completely rid Dera Range of the scourge of drugs, there has been an unrelenting crackdown on drug peddlers, especially those involved in the nefarious trade of ice within the confines of educational institutions, during the last one month.
Police spokesperson said, During the same crackdown, Dera Range Police recovered 97 Kg of hashish, 13 Kg of heroin, 02 Kg of opium, 29 Kgvof ice and 08 bottles of liquor and registered cases against 286 drug dealers and arrested them.
Officials said, In the same way, strict checks have been continued by establishing effective patrols and blockades while dealing with smugglers who undermine the foundations of the country’s economy.
