Police holding open courts for relief to people

On the directions of the Chief Minister of the Punjab Maryam Nawaz, police have started holding of open courts for providing relief to the people and to give approach to common people to present their complaints without any hurdle. In this connection, DSP Hafizabad Rana Jamil Qaisar held open court at Masjad Sadiqia College Road Hafizabad. He listened complaints of people and assured them that their complain would be settle on merit.

Rana Jamil Qaisar said that police were ready round the clock for protection of live, property and honour of the people. H said that Inspector General of Punjab Police was taking all possible measures to promote concept of community policing in the province and he had issued directions to all police officers for bridging gap between police and people and restoring confidence of people on the police.

If any citizen face difficulty to reach police station then police would be reached to the doorstep of the citizen only on a phone call for his help, he added.

Meanwhile World Women Day was also observed in District Hafizabad, on Friday. In this regard, a seminar and walk were held at Government Vocational Training Institute Sukheki Mandi. Principal Khalida Rafiq led the walk and a large number of students, teachers and civil society participated the walk and seminar. Addressing the seminar, Principal Khalida Rafiq and other speakers said that government is taking all possible measures to improve socio-economic condition of women and enable them to get their own livelihood in respectable manners.

They said that society should also play its responsible role to encourage women so that women could go out of homes for getting education, training and jobs places without any hurdle or restriction. A function was also arranged at District Public School Hafizabad to pay tribute to working women.
