PM Shehbaz Sharif presented guard of honour at Presidential Palace in Tajikistan

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Dushanbe on Tuesday for two-day official visit to Tajikistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was presented with guard of honour by smartly turned-out personnel of the armed forces at the Presidential Palace in Central Asian nation.

Upon his arrival at Dushanbe airport, PM Shehbaz was greeted by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Minister for Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma, Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzada, Dushanbe Mayor Jamshid Tabarzada, Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan Sharifzoda Yusuf, Pakistani Ambassador to Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed Sarwar, and other senior government and diplomatic officials.

Prime Minister then visited the memorial of Tajik national hero Ismail Samani, where he laid a floral wreath.

At the Presidential Palace, he was warmly welcomed by President Emomali Rahmon and was presented with a guard of honour by a well-turned-out contingent of the Tajik armed forces.
