ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended Iftar hosted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah.
The premier, who is in Saudi Arabia on three-day official visit, also held a meeting with the crown prince where both sides reaffirmed their common resolve to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties and matters of mutual interest. Both leaders appreciated the upward trajectory of longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries.
PM Shehbaz conveyed prayers and best wishes for the health and well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation by the Saudi authorities.
A day earlier, the prime minister arrived in Makkah Mukarama from Madina to perform Umrah. The members of federal cabinet including Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Abdul Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar and Ahad Cheema were accompanying him.
Earlier, the Prime Minister offered Isha prayers and nawafil at Masjid-e-Nabvi and paid respects at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).
