ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday proposed the creation of a committee to address political issues through bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister put forward this proposal during a visit to JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad, where he inquired about the well-being of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and commended JUI-F’s contributions to religious affairs.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s consistent advocacy for peaceful efforts to uphold democratic values in Pakistan.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the JUI-F Chief.

This meeting occurred amid heightened political tensions and widespread speculation that Imran Khan is open to dialogue with the government. Imran Khan, founder of PTI, showed interest in discussions with other political parties following a suggestion by a Supreme Court judge during proceedings related to appeals against NAB amendments.
