PM lauds HBL in delivering Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program to people

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi along with Chairman Habib Bank Sultan Ali Allana called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Sultan Ali Allana complimented the Prime Minister to present the largest economic package in the history of the country in order to provide relief to the people in the context of coronavirus situation.
He congratulated the Prime Minister on running Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program on transparency and merit.
The Prime Minister appreciated the services and assistance of Habib Bank in delivering Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme to deserving people.
The Minister for Maritime Affairs gave a briefing to the Prime Minister on the matters of his ministry especially the situation arising out of coronavirus and issues of ports and other allied affairs.
He informed Imran Khan that on the instruction of Prime Minister the proposal to waive off demurrage to late staying ships has been approved by Economic Coordination Committee. The decision now awaits ratification by cabinet and will provide relief to ships till 31st of this month. Syed Ali Haider Zaidi also apprised the Prime Minister of keeping the national ports operational despite difficult situation due to coronavirus and closure of many regional ports.
