Federal Minister for Science and TechnologyShibli Faraz has said that the Imran Khan-led PTI government was committed to treat all the federating units alike. He was talking to media while visiting the office of Opposition Leader in Sindh AssemblyHaleem Adil Sheikh on Friday.

Shibli Faraz said that he was pleased to see the Sindh Assembly, which had played a crucial role in the creation of Pakistan and thanked Haleem for inviting him.

The federal minister said that the Prime Minister Khan was the person who always treated all the federating units alike and dispelled the impression created by PPP leadership that he and the PTI government were least interested towards issues of Sindh.

He said that it was the matter of deep concern that the PPP government in Sindh, despite getting enough funds from the Federal government, had done nothing to provide relief to the people, who according to him, were facing hardships even in getting drinking water.

Faraz said that it was the responsibility of the provincial government to provide the basic amenities of life and lamented that PPP rulers despite ruling Sindh for past 13 had miserably failed to provide the modern facilities to the people of the province.

“It is a matter of concern that Sindh is lagging far behind in development as compared to other provinces,” he added and held PPP rulers responsible for the poor state of affairs in Sindh.

He said that he was shocked to learn that the supply of the water of the constituency of Haleem Sheikh was stopped on the orders of chief minister Sindh and asked PPP rulers to refrain from such vindictive policies towards the political opponents.

The PPP lawmakers Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Bilal Ghaffar and other leaders and workers of PTI were present at the media talk and during the visit to Sindh Assembly.
