Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday directed government offices using the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal (PCP) dashboards to provide manual complaint lodging facilities to all segments of the society.
The facility would be made available for people who do not have a smartphone or access to the internet in their areas; people who are not able to read or write; physically challenged; women, widows and senior citizens; and people whose destination of service delivery or the office dealing with the issue is far away, the communiqué stated.
The premier directed the Prime Minister’s Performance Delivery UNIT (PMDU) to convene a briefing session for all focal persons and launch a public awareness campaign via all available platforms.
The responsibility had been assigned to 8,864 PCP-dashboards in all provinces. “The PTI government’s manifesto is to serve the people in a practical way,” PM Imran said. “Government institutions should be bound to serve the people in any case. “
The premier added that improving the governance system was provisional for better coordination between the people and state organisations.
In September, PM Imran directed federal ministries to link all existing complaint management systems of government organisations with Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP), a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
