Peshawar-Torkham high way reopened

The four days protest demonstration and sit-in on Peshawar Torkham high way has ended and the Peshawar Torkham highway reopened restoring the suspended bilateral trade between Paksitan and Afghanistan. Jirga member told the media on Friday.

Talking to this scribe, Lutfullah Shinwari, the spokesman of Khuga Khel nine members negotiation team for NLC and FBR, said that they had fruitful session with the local police administration and security force officials in Landikotal after which the protest demo and sit-in ended.

MPA Shafiq Sher Afridi also played an important role for brining the angry Khuga Khel tribe elders and youth community to table talks. Sources confirmed to this scribe.

The conditions and demands which were tabled to the officials from Khuga Khel tribe are as below.

Written agreement with Khuga Khel tribe would be signed upto 1st June,2021, work on Torkham terminal would be stopped until the written agreement take place with Khuga Khel tribe, carrying out the demarcation of 300 canal Khuga Khel land in Torkham and the import terminal.
