PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain, snowfall over the hills and isolated hailstorm for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday evening/night and Thursday.
As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper/central parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are likely in Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Kohat, Kurram, Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera and Mardan on Wednesday evening/night. Heavy falls and hailstorms are also expected at isolated places during the period.
On Thursday and Friday, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province. Light rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are likely in Kohistan and Mansehra.
Peshawar’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 09-11 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Peshawar and at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped 03 C below freezing.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 83 per cent.
