Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that opposition did not refrain from holding public gatherings despites increasing in the number of corona patients.
She said that PDM has scored political point at every critical situation including corona and this senseless gang contributed to the spread of coronavirus. PDM has become the enemy of the people.
Dr Firdous said that number of active corona patients has reached 135665 in Punjab. She said that 524 new corona cases have been reported and 42 patients died of corona during the last 24 hours. She said 3900 people have been died due to Covid-19 in Punjab so far.
Dr Firdous said that they were not afraid of God when they were looting public money and now raising hue and cry when they are being held accountable for their embezzlement. This gang will not get NRO, she clarified.
Meanwhile, the SACM said that the poor, deserving and downtrodden people need special attention of society and the PTI government is taking their good care. It is a national obligation to provide all facilities of life to the elderly people and the government is making all efforts to restore respectable social status of these people in society. Prime Minister Imran Khan adopted a clear strategy for the welfare and betterment of destitute and deprived people of the society.

Talking to the media on the occasion, Dr Firdous said that the Calibri Queen’s visit to the shrines of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto is merely for political interests and has rejected the anti-Bhutto narrative of her father and uncle. She said that the leadership of PPP and PML-N is in the hands of usurpers as Bilawal’s father ousted Bhutto’s real heir and Zulfiqar Junior who is the real heir of Bhutto family is hiding to save his life.
Dr Firdous said that Imran Khan’s strategy has disclosed the hypocrisy of PML-N and JUI who used to call the Bhutto family as traitors but now they are together for saving their looted money. She said that Nawaz Sharif kept accusing Bhutto of being a scoundrel while Mariyum Nawaz is now acknowledging him as the leader of the people and asking for help from his grandchildren.
She said that Imran Khan exposed the corrupt leaders who looted the national exchequer mercilessly. The former political leaders who ruthlessly consumed public resources are now together with conflicting political views to avoid the process of accountability, she added. She said that the alliance of opposition parties is only to safeguard their personal interests and looted money and they have nothing to do with people’s problem. There is no room for such corrupt elements in the new Pakistan, she asserted.
