Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) while presenting various proposals and demands regarding the upcoming budget for fiscal year 2024-25 has said that long-term policies of at least ten years for export promotion are inevitable.
To compete the global markets, the PCMEA further demanded that Pakistan’s hand-woven carpet industry should be given relief in the budget, freight charges and various duties on the pattern of its traditional rival India and besides this, interest rate and refinancing rate of export finance scheme should be reduced.
