In a major drug bust, the Pakistan Coast Guards, acting on intelligence reports, successfully conducted an operation in the rugged northern region of Gwadar, Balochistan. The operation led to the seizure of 1,832 kilograms of high-quality hashish, which had been hidden in 40 plastic containers within the mountains. The drugs were believed to be intended for smuggling, either within the country or across borders.
The estimated value of the confiscated narcotics in the global market is approximately $30.57 million. The Director-General of Pakistan Coast Guards commended the efforts of the officers and personnel involved in the operation, praising their relentless commitment to tackling drug trafficking.
