Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) is geared up for upcoming monsoon spell with comprehensive preparations to mitigate flooding risks at Kalma Underpass CBD Punjab Boulevard.
The authority has announced the successful installation of seven drainage pumps at key locations to ensure efficient rainwater management.
It was pertinent to mention here that Kalma Chowk underpass turned into a lake after the recent rain as the main pump stopped working.
The videos of people stuck in the stagnant rainwater at Kalma Chowk underpass went viral on the social media.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed serious displeasure regarding the incident.
