The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) has said that Belgian exports to Pakistan have increased by 49 percent on a year-on-year (YoY) basis during the first half of the current year.
AWEX, which deals with the exports of Wallonia region of southern Belgium, said that Belgian exports witnessed growth in the Pakistani market during the first half of the current year and witnessed 10 percent growth. However, AWEX did not issue data in monetary terms and just apprised of the increase in percentage terms.
The imports of Pakistan during August 2021 increased by 18.26 percent to $6,593 million on a month-on-month basis as compared to exports worth $5,575 million in July 2021.
According to the provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the imports on a year-on-year basis increased by 98.82 percent in August 2021 as exports in August 2020.——TLTP
