Pakistan’s exports to USA increase 49% to $1565 million in 3 months

Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to United State of America (USA) witnessed a surge of 49.39 percent during the first three months of financial year (2021-22) as compared to the corresponding period last year.

The overall exports to USA were recorded as US $1565.343 million during July-September (2021-22) against exports of US $ 1047.764 million during July- September (2020-21), showing growth of 49.39 percent, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data revealed.

Meanwhile, on year-to-year basis, exports to USA during September 2021 also increased by 47.33 percent, from US $ 375.907 million to US $553.861 million.

on month-on-month basis, exports of USA were rose by 8.95 percent during September 2021 in comparison with exports of US $ 508.364 million in August 2021, SBP data said.

Overall Pakistan’s exports to other countries witnessed increase of 35.24 percent in three months, from US $5.353 billion to US $ 7.241 billion.

On the other hand, the imports from USA into the country during the period under review were recorded as US $689.762 million against US $444.183 million last year, showing growth of 55.28 percent in three months of this year.

Meanwhile, year-to-year basis, imports from USA during September 2021 also increased by 94 percent from US $133.055 million last year to US $258.135 million.—APP
