ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Army media wing said military counterterrorism raids in the mountainous region of Waziristan had killed at least five militants linked to a banned outfit.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said five terrorists were killed in intelligence-based operations conducted in the North and South Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Forces got a huge cache of weapons, ammunition and the latest pieces of equipment from dead terrorists. ISPR said armed forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from every inch of the country’s territory with an unflinching resolve.
Let it be known that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and other outfits are waging terrorism in crisis-hit country, mostly targeting security forces in regions neighboring Afghanistan.
Islamabad claimed that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan leaders are directing terror attacks from the Afghan side of the border.
