The primary mission of CTF-150 and CTF-151 is to combat illicit maritime activities, including piracy and drug trafficking, which threaten security in international waters.

This joint exercise highlights the commitment of both navies to maintaining maritime security, supporting lawful activities at sea, and fostering cooperation in the strategically vital region. Pakistan and the Republic of Korea are consistent contributors to the CMF, with both nations providing ships and aircraft to enhance maritime security efforts.
