RAWALPINDI – Pakistani and Saudi officials focused on strengthening military cooperation and technological collaboration, the military’s media wing said.
Both sides discussed to advance military cooperation at 7th Pakistan-KSA Bilateral Defence Industrial Forum in Riyadh. ISPR said Pakistani delegation was led by Chief of General Staff of Pakistan Army Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir, who engaged with Saudi representatives headed by H.E. Engr Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Defence Minister.
During the meeting, Lt Gen Dastgir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the capacity building of the Royal Saudi Defence Forces. The Saudi dignitary recognized Pakistan’s significant achievements and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, highlighting its vital contributions to regional peace and stability.
The forum addressed various global and regional security challenges and their implications for defense forces, emphasizing the necessity for enhanced industrial cooperation in response to rapid technological advancements. Participants reviewed the progress of ongoing collaborations and agreed on new areas for partnership.
