Pakistan and Netherlands have pledged to enhance collaboration in combating human trafficking, recognizing the need for joint efforts to tackle this global menace.

The commitment was made during a meeting between the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Henny de Vries, and Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, at the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various issues of mutual interest, including the expansion of bilateral cooperation. Minister Naqvi congratulated the newly formed government in the Netherlands and expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen relations with the European nation in multiple sectors.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the urgency of improving cooperation to curb human trafficking, highlighting that traffickers operate as a powerful mafia, making it impossible for any single country to confront the challenge alone.

He underscored the effectiveness of coordinated measures in combating human trafficking and mentioned that an Italian delegation would soon visit Pakistan to discuss further collaboration on this issue.
