Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on Monday spent Eidul Adha with troops in Haji Pir sector along Line of Control (LoC).

COAS interacted with soldiers during visit to Line of Control in the Haji Pir sector on Monday, where he celebrated Eidul Adha with them. Upon his arrival, the COAS was received by the Rawalpindi Corps commander.

The top general offered Eid prayers with officers and soldiers at the front line, praying for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity. He also remembered sacrifices of martyrs on this festive occasion.

Gen Asim also praised dedication, high morale, and commitment of troops in defending the nation. “As soldiers, we take pride in celebrating such festivities away from our homes and loved ones while on duty, ensuring the security of our country and fellow citizens,” Army Chief said.

He condemned Indian forces aggression in occupied Kashmir. Discussing the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), COAS reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance, in line with relevant UN resolutions.

New Delhi has been attempting to “mask its aggression and victimization of the Kashmiri people with false propaganda and provocations” against Pakistan, he said, adding that such tactics, including manufacturing false flag operations, have “become a routine political tool” of India.
