RIYADH – Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, known as Pride of Pakistan, displayed stunning aerobatic performance in Saudi skies during Air Exercise Spears of Victory, 2023.
A contingent of Pakistan Air Force participated in Exercise Spears of Victory, 2023 which culminated at Air War Centre Dhahran King Abdulaziz Air Base. During the drills, Pakistani jets roared in the aerial boundaries while performances were enjoyed by spectators.
In a statement, Pakistan Air Force spokesperson said Air Marshal Abdul Moeed Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff witnessed the closing ceremony of the drill and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani contingent for making the exercise a great success.
In his interaction with the air and ground crew said, the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff said “existing global security scenario coupled with the evolving dynamics of air warfare calls for an enhanced partnership between Pakistan and friendly countries.”
He further maintained that the International and regional strategic situation is undergoing profound changes with growing complexity in security environment, saying these drills offer opportunity to enhance interoperability in the face of shared challenges.
Besides Pakistan, Forces from Bahrain, Greece, Jordan, Qatar, UK and the US also took part in the air drill aimed at providing an opportunity to enhance interoperability with participating countries.
Spears of Victory drill provided a platform to practice integrated employment of combat along with formulation of tactics against contemporary threats, PAF spokesperson added.
