LAHORE – A Punjab Assembly session will be held on Monday (today) for approval of budget for the next three months of fiscal year.
The government unveiled its agenda for the session, and decided to hold important debates and decisions.
Scheduled to commence at 2 pm, Punjab Finance Minister, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman is all set to present the budget for the upcoming three-month period, from April 1st to June 30th.
Besides the future budget plans, the attention would also be directed towards the approval of expenditures for the preceding 8-month period.
Last week, the provincial government deferred approval of the budget, and the session was simply adjourned.
On the other hand, the SIC leaders backed by the PTI said that they would not allow presentation of the budget in the provincial assembly.
