The Islamabad Traffic Police issued more than 90,780 fine tickets to motorcyclists driving bikes without helmets during the ongoing year.
According to the police’s public relations officer the Islamabad capital police was endeavoring to maintain an exemplary traffic system in the city and check those involved in negligence on roads. Over 90,780 fine tickets were issued to motorcyclists driving their bikes without helmets.
Senior Officers have appreciated this performance and said that a vigorous campaign of Islamabad capital police had been launched as per directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan to create awareness among citizens about traffic rules.
As per directions the Islamabad capital police personnel are directed to ensure implementation on traffic rules and regulation irrespective of status and rank and demonstrate patience and politeness while issuing traffic violation tickets to the road users. He further said that the Islamabad capital police is utilizing all available resources to facilitate the general public. He has appealed to the parents not to allow their children to drive bikes or cars till age of maturity.
The personnel of the force issue traffic violation tickets not as a punitive measure but the purpose is to ensure a safe road environment in the Capital and secure the lives of the people. Parents are requested not to allow their underage children to drive bikes.
Meanwhile, funeral prayer of Islamabad capital police Constable Khalid Mehmood was offered at Police Lines Headquarters. Senior police officers and a large number of police officials offered the funeral prayer. According to the details, the funeral prayer of Constable Khalid Mehmood posted at the Security division of Islamabad capital police was offered at Police Lines Headquarters. Late police officer was shifted to hospital due to sickness but he could not survive and was reunited with his real Creator. A smartly turned-out contingent of the police personnel presented a guard of honour. Police officers shouldered the coffins and later the bodies were sent to his respective native town in district Gujranwala, Punjab. The Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan condoled with the family of the deceased and assured the grieved families of full support from the department and that their family would be taken care of. Constable Khalid Mehmood left behind two daughters and two sons.
