A dacoit was killed in an alleged police encounter on By-Pass Road near Saddar Police Station Okara, while his three accomplices managed to flee in dark hours of the night, Police confirmed on Wednesday.

According to Okara police, the dacoits were looting citizens after setting up a blockade on By-Pass Road near Saddar Police Station.

Police on receiving a call about this criminal activity rushed to reach at the scene. As police reached near the dacoits, they opened fire on police party. The police retaliated and responded with fire on dacoits.—INP
