Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, received at the headquarters of the General Secretariat on November 10, 2021, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism (IMCTC), and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation by implementing joint programs to combat terrorism per their signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the intellectual and media fields and the financing of terrorism.
Al-Othaimeen expressed the importance of the OIC-IMCTC cooperation and training programs to combat terrorism and extremism and dry up their sources.
For his part, Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi stressed the IMCTC’s keenness to benefit from the OIC’s pioneering experience for more than half a century since all IMCTC’s Member States are the OIC’s Member States.—PR
