The National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) arrested a culprit and recovered a snatched motorcycle here Saturday-Sunday midnight.
According to details, base IMDC received information thorough phone from local police at 03:00hrs that three armed persons were snatching a motorcycle from a local person, almost one kilometer away from Murree expressway on Nambal Road (TDCP link road) near KM-37 North Bound.
The DSP/CPO Rizwan Abbasi along with C/JPO Israr Ahmed and HC/APO Adnan Hussain rushed towards the spot and also directed Tiger-3 & Tiger-4 to come at the place of incident. He reached at the spot and telephonically contacted the claimant namely Muhammad Wasib R/o Nambal Murree, who claimed that 03 armed robbers with covered faces had snatched an applied for United motorbike, Rs. 10000/- cash and a mobile phone.
The DSP/CPO boarded the claimant in official vehicle and started searching for the robbers towards location mentioned by him. The DSP/CPO also directed the briefing officers & PG to keep close check over each and every motorcycle at Phulgran Toll Plaza and also passed the message to all the beat mobiles to alert all the check points. In the mean time, the Briefing Officer IP/SPO Sohail Mustafa, SI/PO Inayat Hussain and Mr. Muhammad Ali, Photographer stopped a suspicious motorbike of same make and model.
After some investigation, the officers arrested the rider who later on confessed his crime. The claimant also identified his bike and dacoit. After legal proceedings the culprit along with bike was handed over to SI Aslam of PS Murree. The owner of the motorcycle, general road users and people of vicinity appreciated the early.
