Nap Meeting Postponed After Pm Shehbaz Fell Ill

ISLAMABAD – The meeting of the National Action Plan’s (NAP) Apex Committee initially scheduled for Monday (today) has been postponed after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif fell ill.

The sources said that as per the medical advice, the PM is suffering from fever and a chest infection and has been advised to take rest.

The rescheduled meeting will now take place on Tuesday (tomorrow) while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will chair the session. Senior military and civilian leadership, provincial chief ministers and heads of intelligence agencies will take part in it.

The agenda included a comprehensive review of the country’s law and order situation.

The meeting will also examine the causes behind the recent surge in terrorism incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and important decisions to address these issues are expected to be made during the session.
