KARACHI – National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) issues National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to the nationals intending to go abroad or settled in foreign countries.

NADRA holds the authority to manage, record, and issue NICOP to Pakistani diaspora living in UAE, Saudi Arabia or other foreign countries.

All citizens living abroad can get an NICOP card by following an hassle-free process as it allows visa-free travel to Pakistan in the case of dual nationality.

Pakistani residents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can apply for their new Smart NICOP by visiting Nadra center at the Pakistan embassy. Those in the UAE specifically can use the Pak Identity app to renew their NICOP without having to visit a physical center.

NADRA has different fee structures for Smart NICOP based on regions, and the UAE falls under Zone B. The fee for applying for new or renewing the Smart NICOP in this region is as follows:

If you have opted for online option to submit application for the NICOP, you will be charged in dollars. As of August 2024, the normal fee for UAE stands at $20, urgent fee $30 and executive fee $40.
