The Executive Board meeting chaired by the Chairman NAB on Thursday approved to close the investigation of corruption cases against PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The statement said that the NAB Executive Board has approved the filing of seven corruption references but the meeting approved to close the investigation of corruption case against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Speaker Punjab Assembly/former minister Local Government Department, Punjab and others. Whereas, EBM authorized closing inquiry against Qazi Laiq Ahmed, former Director General, Peshawar, and other and Khalid Sherdil owing to absence of evidence as per law.
