Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah returned to his alma mater, St. Patrick’s High School, to join the Cultural Day celebrations, a vibrant display of Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity. The event highlighted the themes of unity, mutual respect, and heritage, reinforcing the multicultural ethos of the nation.
Speaking at the event, Murad Ali Shah shared his pride in revisiting the school that shaped his values and character.
“Each culture showcased here adds a distinctive thread to the rich tapestry of our collective identity,” he said. Drawing a poetic comparison, he added, “Just like a symphony, where different notes blend to create a masterpiece, Pakistan is a harmonious composition of unique identities coming together as one.”
The chief minister praised the students for their lively performances and encouraged them to uphold the values of cultural pride and unity. He also commended the faculty and staff for their dedication to nurturing young minds with the principles of inclusion and mutual respect.
Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah, Archbishop Benny Travas, Chairperson of the Catholic Board of Education, and Rev. Fr. Mario Rodrigues, Principal of St. Patrick’s High School, were among the notable attendees, along with deputy principals, board members, and other distinguished guests. Murad Ali Shah called for embracing diversity and fostering a Pakistan rooted in kindness, understanding, and unity.
